We are looking for an experienced Fire Stopper to join a growing delivery team, working across social housing and residential projects. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will play a key part in ensuring buildings meet the highest fire safety and compliance standards.
You will be trusted to work independently on site, delivering high-quality passive fire protection works while maintaining strict adherence to regulations and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out a full range of passive fire protection works, including fire stopping to walls, floors and service penetrations.
- Install fire collars, batt and mastic systems, intumescent products and associated fire-stopping solutions.
- Work accurately from drawings, specifications and manufacturers details.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with current fire safety regulations and quality standards.
- Complete site paperwork, reports and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship in occupied and non-occupied properties.
- Liaise with site supervisors, managers and other trades as required.
- Identify and resolve issues on site to ensure works are delivered right first time.
- Work safely at all times in line with health & safety procedures.
- Experienced carpenter with strong technical knowledge who can work independently on site.
- Proven experience delivering passive fire protection / fire stopping works.
- Social housing experience is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of fire safety standards, compliance and quality requirements.
- Good communication skills and a professional, reliable approach to work.
- Ability to manage your own workload and work to programme deadlines.
You must hold one of the following qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
- City & Guilds in Carpentry and Joinery
Up to Β£41,000 basic salary. Full package included: Vehicle share, Fuel card, Bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, 5-day Christmas shutdown.
