We are working with a well-established main contractor who is delivering a £5m Industrial/ commercial refurbishment scheme and is now seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to take full control of the project as Number 1 on site. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven leader who thrives in a hands-on role and has a strong track record of successfully managing refurbishment projects from site setup through to completion.
The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you will have full responsibility for site operations, acting as the principal point of control and leadership on the project. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as Number 1 on site, with full responsibility for programme, quality, health & safety, and delivery
- Managing all subcontractors and direct labour
- Driving the programme to ensure works are delivered on time and within budget
- Chairing site meetings and coordinating with the project team, consultants, and client
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site presentation
- Overseeing quality control and snagging through to practical completion
- Reporting progress to senior management
About You
We are looking for a Senior Site Manager who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record as Number 1 on site for Industrial/commercial refurbishment projects
- Experience working for a main contractor
- Strong leadership and man-management skills
- Ability to manage complex refurbishment works in a live or occupied environment (desirable)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Qualifications required:
- SMSTS
- CSCS (Black or Gold preferred)
- First Aid
