We are looking for a motivated Carpentry Apprentice to join a growing delivery team, working across fire protection and social housing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in carpentry and passive fire protection within a supportive, structured environment.
You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining hands-on site experience while developing your skills through on-the-job training and formal qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Support experienced carpenters and fire protection operatives on live construction sites.
- Assist with basic carpentry works and passive fire protection installations under supervision.
- Learn how to work from drawings, specifications and site instructions.
- Support the installation of fire stopping systems, including collars, batt & mastic and intumescent products.
- Help to maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and compliance.
- Complete site paperwork and daily task records as required.
- Work safely at all times in line with health & safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional attitude when working in occupied and non-occupied properties.
- A genuine interest in carpentry and construction with a desire to learn and progress.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a site-based team.
- Good attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to take instruction and learn from experienced tradespeople.
- Professional approach when dealing with site teams and residents.
- Any previous site or trade experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Carpentry BTEC / Carpentry qualifications.
- Up to Β£28,000 basic salary.
