We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor for an experienced Project Manager to take leadership responsibility on a £50M industrial unit new build project in Swansea. This is a permanent opportunity for a driven individual with a proven track record of delivering large-scale industrial schemes as the No.1 on site, from pre-construction through to successful handover.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be the overall lead on site, responsible for the successful delivery of the project across all phases. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle, manage site teams, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the No.1 Project Lead on a £50M industrial new build scheme
- Oversee all site operations, project planning, and delivery strategy
- Lead and manage site teams, including Site Managers and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company standards
- Manage programme, budgets, and commercial performance in collaboration with the commercial team
- Maintain strong client relationships and lead project meetings
- Drive quality, efficiency, and best practice across the project
- Provide regular progress reports to senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager / No.1 on site delivering large-scale industrial new build projects
- Strong background working for a main contractor (Tier 1 experience preferred)
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects from groundworks through to completion
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and programme
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
- Flexibility to travel and lodge when required
