Freelance Health and Safety Consultant - Fully remote with site visits.
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable Freelance Health and Safety Consultant to provide expert guidance on occupational health, safety regulations, and compliance. Our client is a well-established and growing Health & Safety consultancy supporting organisations across a wide range of industries. They are dedicated to helping businesses create safe, compliant, and positive working environments.
The role involves working closely with a portfolio of clients, providing professional advice and hands-on support across all aspects of health, safety, and risk management. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive health, safety, and fire risk assessments.
- Developing and implementing tailored H&S management systems and policies.
- Delivering practical, solution-based advice to clients.
- Providing engaging H&S training and workshops.
- Acting as Lead Consultant for key client accounts.
- Promoting and demonstrating the use of H&S software and reporting platforms.
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Consultant or Advisor.
- Recognised qualification (NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and organisational skills.
- Relevant fire safety qualifications (desirable).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and H&S software systems.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
- Working towards or already CMIOSH status (advantageous).
