The Role Factory Yardman – Stone Worktops My client are looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Yardman to join their busy stone manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our yard, ensuring stone slabs and materials are safely stored, moved, and prepared for production. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent organisational skills and a strong commitment to health and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Safely unload, move, and store stone slabs and materials within the yard and factory.
- Load materials for production and customer collections.
- Maintain accurate stock control and inventory of stone slabs and consumables.
- Carry out regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure slabs are stored safely and correctly to prevent damage.
- Assist the production team by preparing materials for fabrication.
- Keep the yard and storage areas clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Operate forklifts and other lifting equipment in accordance with company procedures.

Requirements
- Experience moving and handling heavy materials safely.
- Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management.
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence.
- Good awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
