Site Manager (Permanent) – Industrial New Build

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Our client, a respected main contractor specialising in industrial new build projects, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to lead high-quality projects within a thriving and reputable construction business.

The initial scheme on offer here is situated in Reading, Berkshire involving the construction of several industrial units with an overall project value of c£80M.

The Role

As the Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of an industrial new build project from groundwork to handover. Key duties include:

• Leading site operations to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
• Managing subcontractors, labour, and materials effectively.
• Ensuring strict compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Chairing site meetings and maintaining strong communication with the project team.
• Monitoring progress, identifying issues, and implementing solutions.
• Maintaining site records, diaries, and documentation.

The Candidate

• Proven experience managing industrial or large-scale commercial new build projects.
• A strong background working for a main contractor.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A proactive and hands-on approach to site management.
• Relevant qualifications including SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid.
