A well-established refurbishment contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting social housing refurbishment programmes across Liverpool. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social housing, refurbishment or planned maintenance, ideally with experience delivering Decent Homes programmes across both void and tenanted properties.
The Role
- Manage the commercial performance of social housing refurbishment projects.
- Take responsibility for budgets, valuations, variations, payments and final accounts.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts and payments.
- Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts and cash flow.
- Manage variations and ensure all changes are properly valued and agreed.
- Produce regular commercial reports and cost/value reconciliations.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure projects remain commercially controlled.
- Liaise with clients and housing associations regarding commercial matters.
