Location: Greater London & South East Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Excellent Package Job Type: Permanent Start Date: September 2026

About the Company

Our client is an established and growing main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment, fit-out and property improvement projects across London and the South East.

Working across the commercial, residential and public sectors, they deliver a diverse portfolio of refurbishment and maintenance schemes for a wide range of repeat clients.

With a strong order book and continued business growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their operational team.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects across Greater London, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering commercial refurbishment projects.

Previous experience within social housing, planned maintenance or regeneration would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
  • Develop, monitor and update project programmes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to manage project costs, variations and financial performance.
  • Manage procurement and subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and quality management systems.
  • Identify and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies where required.
  • Chair project meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Support successful project handovers and ensure client satisfaction throughout the delivery process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering commercial refurbishment projects.
  • Experience managing multiple live projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of refurbishment and fit-out construction.
  • Social housing, planned maintenance or regeneration experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and client management skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and programme management experience.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Based within London or the surrounding areas with the ability to travel to sites across Greater London.
