We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a leading contractor delivering a major refurbishment and construction programme within a secure live environment in the East of England. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for long-term work with the potential to transition into permanent employment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site delivery, managing engineering activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements. Experience working on complex refurbishment, infrastructure, public sector, or secure environment projects would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing and overseeing day-to-day engineering activities on site
- Setting out and ensuring works are delivered to specification
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring programme milestones are achieved
- Supporting site management with technical and engineering queries
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and identifying buildability issues
- Maintaining QA documentation and site records
- Ensuring health & safety standards are upheld at all times
- Liaising with project managers, commercial teams, and stakeholders
- Assisting with progress reporting and site coordination
- Previous experience working as a Senior Site Engineer on construction or refurbishment projects
- Strong setting out and technical engineering background
- Experience within live or secure environments preferred
- CSCS required
- SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work within fast-paced project environments
- Up to £360 per day
