Role: Pre-Construction Manager

Lead the pre-construction phase of passive fire protection projects, ensuring full planning, coordination, and commercial viability before site delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-construction across multiple projects
  • Carry out feasibility, risk assessments, and programme planning
  • Review designs for compliance with fire safety regulations
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Produce cost plans, budgets (£2-5m projects), and forecasts
  • Prepare key documentation (method statements, PQPs, ITPs, compliance matrices)
  • Support tenders and bids with technical/commercial input
  • Identify risks and value engineering opportunities
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier evaluation

Requirements

  • Experience in pre-construction, estimating, or project coordination
  • Background in fire protection or construction
  • Knowledge of fire doors, compartmentation, and fire stopping
  • Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to produce project documentation and cost plans
  • UK driving licence
