A leading main contractor with a strong presence across the Midlands is looking to appoint an experienced Internals Manager / Finishing Manager to support the delivery of a major high‑rise residential and mixed‑use development in Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the internal fit‑out and finishing phases, ensuring exceptional quality standards and programme targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all internal packages from first fix through to final handover
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works progress in line with programme
- Monitoring quality standards and managing snagging processes
- Driving health & safety compliance across all internal works
- Conducting inspections and ensuring high‑quality finishes throughout
- Liaising with site teams, consultants and subcontractors daily
- Managing apartment and communal area completions
- Supporting client inspections, handovers and defect management
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Internals Manager, Finishing Manager or Fit‑Out Manager
- Previous experience on high‑rise residential, student accommodation or mixed‑use developments
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Excellent eye for detail and quality assurance
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
- Ability to manage fast‑paced internal programmes and multiple trades
