Contract: Temp to Perm, PAYE Hours: 08:00 β 17:30 About the Role My client are seeking a Fire Protection Surveyor to join their growing fire protection division. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in passive fire protection and compartmentation surveying. The successful candidate will play a key role in surveying fire protection systems, identifying breaches, assigning remedial solutions, and producing clear, defensible reports to ensure compliance with national standards and regulations. This is a safety-critical role where attention to detail, technical accuracy, and professionalism are essential. The ideal candidate would be based in the Midlands due to a workload primarily being based within that region. However this is a nationwide role, therefore applicants are expected to have a flexible attitude toward travel. Key Responsibilities * Conduct detailed surveys of passive fire protection systems, including compartmentation and firestopping. * Record and document service penetrations, structural interfaces, and legacy conditions. * Identify deficiencies, propose compliant remedial solutions, and reference manufacturer standards. * Use digital platforms (e.g. OneTrace, Bolster, Auditform, Oneserve) to log survey findings. * Produce structured technical reports, marked-up drawings, and prioritised actions. * Support pricing, programming, and project planning with accurate technical inputs. * Liaise with manufacturers, contractors, and internal teams to validate solutions. * Assist the Technical Manager with documentation, detail assignment, and workflow management. About You * NVQ Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent construction/fire safety qualification). * Proven experience in compartmentation surveying and passive fire protection inspections. * Strong knowledge of firestopping systems (batt & mastic, wraps, collars, cavity barriers, compound pours). * Familiarity with regulations and standards (Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 8644). * Proficient in technical reporting with digital survey tools. * FRA awareness desirable (ability to interpret Fire Risk Assessments an advantage). * SMSTS & First Aid at Work (or willingness to obtain). * IPAF and PASMA preferred. * Full UK Driving Licence required, with flexibility to travel.
