My client are looking for a skilled Fire Protection Surveyor to join their expanding team, based in Glasgow, with a sole focus on fire door surveying across commercial sites in the Glasgow area.

What the Role Involves

  • Conducting detailed inspections of fire doors and frames only to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Identifying and logging defects, non-compliant components, and potential risks relating specifically to fire doors.
  • Performing risk assessments and recommending prioritised remedial actions.
  • Producing clear, professional digital reports outlining findings and suggested improvements.
  • Advising clients on fire door maintenance, condition, and compliance best practices.
  • Working closely with architects, engineers, and fire safety officers to ensure fire door installations meet regulatory standards.
  • Supporting training and awareness initiatives on fire door safety and compliance.
  • Staying up to date with the latest regulations, industry standards, and best practices relating specifically to fire doors.

Candidate Profile

  • Longevity with current/recent employer
  • Experience in fire door surveying (essential)
  • CSCS, SMSTS, PASMA, FIRAS accreditation (preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and colleagues
