A privately owned UK fire safety business specialising in compliant fire doors and passive fire protection systems. Established in the 1990s, they deliver end-to-end services from design through to installation and maintenance, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.

An experienced Site Manager is required to oversee multiple passive fire protection projects valued at £2–4m from start to completion. You will manage site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. The role also involves acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, with responsibility for programme delivery, compliance, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all on-site activity across fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation works.
  • Supervising labour and subcontractors, ensuring full compliance with fire regulations and British Standards.
  • Maintaining site records, reporting progress, managing budgets and profitability, and implementing QA processes such as PQPs and ITPs.
  • Liaising with clients and internal teams in live environments, resolving technical issues, and driving continuous improvement, value engineering, and strong health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Site Manager experience within fire protection or construction sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation.
  • Experience delivering £2–4m projects.
  • Understanding of fire regulations and FRA requirements.
  • Experience managing labour and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Commercial awareness and budget control experience.
  • IT and digital reporting competence.
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
  • Desirable: carpentry/fire door installation background.
  • Desirable: social housing experience.
