An established and growing £250m+ turnover main contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The business specialises in the delivery of new-build industrial and logistics developments, with projects typically ranging from £5M to £30M in value. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong industrial / steel frame background who is looking to join a growing contractor and develop their career into Senior Site Management and Project Management.

The Role:

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of new-build industrial projects
  • Working on projects across Essex and Kent
  • Managing subcontractors, site teams and site operations
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
  • Coordinating trades and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Managing site logistics, sequencing and short-term programmes
  • Attending progress meetings and providing regular updates to the wider project team
  • Ensuring all health & safety requirements are maintained
  • Working closely with the Project Manager and wider management team
  • Supporting the successful handover and completion of projects

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction
  • Essential: Industrial / Steel Frame experience
  • Experience delivering new-build industrial, logistics or warehouse projects
  • Experience working on projects valued between £5M – £30M
  • Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing and site logistics
  • Strong subcontractor and site team management skills
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Essex & Kent
