My client is looking to recruit a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team, based from their offices in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career Quantity Surveyor who is looking to build a long-term career within the construction industry. You will work closely with experienced commercial professionals, gaining hands-on exposure across a range of construction projects while developing your technical, commercial and contractual knowledge.
The Role
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team with the day-to-day financial and contractual management of projects. Duties will include:
- Assisting with cost planning, valuations and project reporting
- Supporting the preparation of tender and contract documentation
- Helping to manage subcontractor accounts
- Assisting with variations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and supporting budget control
- Liaising with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring commercial records are accurate and up to date
About You
We are looking for someone who is motivated, organised and keen to develop a career in Quantity Surveying. You should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a construction-related discipline
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- Competence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A full UK driving licence would be beneficial
