Our client is an established main contractor specialising in the delivery of high-quality industrial, logistics and commercial developments across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of new projects, they are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a major new-build industrial scheme in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to develop their career within a growing main contractor, working alongside an experienced site team on a substantial industrial development.
The Role:
- Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of the project
- Coordinating subcontractors and site activities
- Monitoring progress, quality and health & safety
- Assisting with site logistics, sequencing and programme management
- Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality and programme
- Attending site meetings and coordinating with the project team
- Maintaining site records and ensuring construction documentation is up to date
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or experienced Site Supervisor
- Main contractor background preferred
- Experience on industrial, logistics, warehouse or commercial new-build projects
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site management
- Experience working on steel frame projects would be highly advantageous
- CSCS and relevant construction qualifications
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
