Our client is a specialist contractor who specializes in high-quality public realm hard and soft landscaping, paving projects, highways, and civil engineering. Their work helps to form the foundations of the towns and cities we live in. Working across both public and private sectors, their integrated approach enables them to be agile and flexible to adapt and deliver anything from smaller-scale developments to multi-million-pound projects. Notable projects include Battersea Power Station, One Crown Place, and Devonshire Square.

They are looking for an Assistant Construction Planner / Project Planner to assist with the pre-construction department with detailed planning in relation to Public Realm Schemes in Central London, providing unique communal spaces for people to come together and enjoy in our town centres, parks, schools, and commercial developments. Their team handles everything from design to completion, including paving, cladding, lighting, civil engineering, drainage, utility, soft landscaping, water features, and street furniture.

Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will use your ability to produce clean critical path analysis and sequencing methodologies.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of specialist planning software (Asta)
  • Ability to build detailed, robust, and fully logic-linked pre-construction planning programmes
  • Experience of working/collaborating with a wider project team and subcontractors
  • Experience in attending weekly/fortnightly production/commercial review meetings
