As Junior/Graduate Test Design Engineer you are responsible for supporting the design and specification of production test systems to ensure they meet testing goals and are delivered within the agreed schedule. You will be working with Operations and Industrial Engineering.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in specification and setup of production test equipment
- Support implementation and debugging of test systems
- Execute test plans and validation activities
- Collect, analyse, and report test data
- Maintenance and basic troubleshooting of test equipment
- Maintenance of test programs (Python, C#)
- Support development of test fixtures
- Help verify repeatability and consistency of test results
- Secure that production test equipment is capable and stable for mass production
- Support monitoring of test performance in production
- Help maintain and update equipment documentation
- Support calibration activities and tracking
- Contribute to design reviews with data and findings
- Support fault finding and root cause analysis of test failures
- Assist in investigation and analysis of customer return (RMA) products
- Work with cross-functional teams (quality, design, manufacturing) to resolve issues
- To undertake other duties reasonably required, which are appropriate with the level and nature of the role

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualifications in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Practical experience with test equipment, data analysis, and debugging in a production or engineering environment.
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C#) with the ability to maintain and improve test software.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret test data and support root cause investigations.
- Hands-on, self-motivated approach with a focus on reliability, repeatability, and continuous improvement.
- Good collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across quality, design, and contract manufacturing services.

Work Hours
37 hours. Work hours are 8 hours each day on Monday to Thursday inclusive and 5 hours on Friday. The Employee will be entitled to an unpaid lunch break of a minimum 30 minutes to a maximum of 60 minutes during each working day. The Company currently works a trial Flexitime Policy which full details are available in the policy. These are core hours and from time-to-time additional hours may need to be worked in order to successfully fulfil the requirements of the position.
