Role Summary
As Supply Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that the right stock is available at the right time to meet customer and production demand. Working closely with the Head of Demand Planning, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving supply chain efficiency through strong supplier relationships, data-driven decision-making, and lean inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Build effective supplier relationships to maintain component and manufacturing timelines.
- Track and manage inbound deliveries to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.
- Raise and manage purchase orders based on demand forecasts, safety stock, and lead times.
- Monitor stock levels and proactively manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Support regular stock reviews and cycle counting processes.
- Collaborate with the Head of Demand Planning to convert forecast outputs into actionable supply plans.
- Work cross-functionally with Fulfilment, Production, Field Engineering, and Finance teams.
- Report on key metrics such as stock availability, lead time adherence, and on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a supply planning, inventory management, or procurement role.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Familiarity with lean or just-in-time supply chain methodology.
- Desirable: A background in a manufacturing environment.
