Responsibilities:

  • Define domain‐specific quality success metrics (48 kHz sample rate, 24‐bit depth, mono per talent, uncompressed WAV/Linear PCM).
  • Develop SOPs, QA rubrics, and reference materials for technical standards.
  • Review audio recordings and annotations against standards, flag defects before client delivery.
  • Perform structured QA passes, track and resolve defects to meet deadlines.
  • Return files to contractors with precise remediation notes.
  • Advise on recording pipelines, mic requirements, and room treatment to meet benchmarks.
  • Handle spec changes, draft acceptance criteria or workarounds for new codecs.
  • Create example libraries of gold‐standard clips to calibrate team.
  • Vetting and assessing technical contractor talent, providing actionable feedback.
  • Build dashboards or trackers, conduct post‐mortems, analyze defect trends to improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years professional experience in audio engineering, dialog/voice recording, or post‐production QA.
  • Mastery of digital audio standards (48 kHz, 24‐bit, mono, uncompressed WAV/Linear PCM).
  • Proven ability to set, enforce, and maintain high technical standards.
  • Strong communication skills for delivering clear technical guidance.
  • Experience producing technical documentation, quality rubrics, or training resources.
  • Ability to work within fixed project timelines and scope.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

Compensation: $25‐to‐$100 per hour, rate determined after evaluating experience, expertise, and location. Contractor supplies secure computer and high‐speed internet; benefits do not apply.
