The Global Logistics Specialist is responsible for trade compliance and logistics activities to ensure on‑time delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to international trade regulations, customs requirements, and corporate policies. Working cross‑functionally with Sales, Customer Operations, Supply Chain, and Project teams, the successful candidate will optimise transportation and import/export processes while promoting trade compliance, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and a safety‑first culture.
Responsibilities
- Trade Compliance
- Coordinate import and export customs declarations
- Manage compliance with customs regulations, trade agreements, export controls, and sanctions
- Tariff classification, customs valuation, origin determinations, free trade agreement reviews
- Identify duty savings opportunities through FTAs, duty relief programs, and trade compliance initiatives
- Provide trade compliance guidance and support for international projects and shipments
- Support customs audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting activities
- Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate logistics activities including delivery of parts and components supporting global supply chain and manufacturing activities
- Project logistics, including final‑mile delivery of batteries and fall‑off loads
- Domestic and international shipments supporting global field service operations
- Inter‑office transfers and non‑inventory shipments
- Reverse logistics and return material authorisation
- Preparation/coordination of various logistics documentation, including dangerous goods
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers
- Identify and mitigate logistics risks to minimise supply chain disruptions
- Process Improvement & Operational Support
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, projects, customer operations, and supply chain teams to support operational objectives and customer satisfaction
