About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedSenior Menswear Designerto join the design team of a well-established fashion and lifestyle brand based inLeeds. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the seasonal menswear collections, working closely with the Buying, Design, and Senior Leadership teams.
You will bring a strong sense of style, an in-depth understanding of current trends, and a sharp eye for detail acrossgraphics, prints, fabrics, and silhouettes. Your work will directly influence product ranges across all menswear categories, from initial concept through to final sign-off and supplier liaison.
This role would suit a creative and collaborative designer with strong commercial awareness, technical skills, and a passion for delivering original, brand-right designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop seasonal menswear collections that align with the brands creative direction and customer base.
- Create seasonal mood boards, colour palettes, and trend inspiration aligned with commercial objectives.
- Developgraphics, prints, embroideries, and branding elements with expert use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Work closely with the Buying team to ensure all designs meet commercial and costing expectations.
- Providedetailed tech packsto suppliers and collaborate closely through the sampling and development process.
- Attend design sign-off meetings and contribute confidently with design rationale and styling input.
- Source and recommend new fabrications, washes, and finishes.
- Maintain awareness of competitor activity and global trends to ensure the brand stays innovative and relevant.
- Travel forresearch and development trips, both within the UK and internationally, as required.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure timely delivery of collections that meet brand, customer, and market requirements.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar senior menswear design role, preferably within a lifestyle or trend-led fashion brand.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating skills in menswear graphics, prints, trims, and garment construction.
- Solid understanding of fabric sourcing, fit, and finish, with the ability to develop products across multiple categories.
- Excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop essential).
- A degree in Fashion Design or a relevant discipline (BA Hons or equivalent).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing creativity with commerciality.
Working Environment
- Hybrid Working:Office-based Tuesday to Thursday, work from home Monday and Friday.
- Flexitime:40 hours per week, with flexible start between7:30 am 10:00 am, and finish between4:00 pm 6:30 pm.
