Senior Ladieswear Buyer
Leeds
£45k to £50k pa (2 days WFH)
We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior ladieswear Buyer for our client near Leed, which offers something more exciting and more individual than the other clothing catalogues in the UK.

Purpose of the role:
To lead the ladieswear buying team in developing remarkable product across multiple categories and to identify new opportunities for sales growth.
To source and negotiate prices to achieve overall GM targets and quality expectations
To embed new process and wow as the business grows
Main Activities:
To build a range that meets and exceeds the budget expectations each season, bringing remarkable, interesting, and exciting product to the market in-line with brand handwriting.
Responsible for delivering margin in-line with targets and selling prices in-line with the agreed pricing arch.
To ensure your knowledge of competitors and market trends is used to define ranges and identify new opportunities for sales growth in line with the brands handwriting.
Ability to analyse data and sales figures, interpreting departmental performance and missed opportunity in the form of a report.
Presenting range for sign off to owners/CEO.
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
Assessing quality initiatives alongside QA team, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty drive decision making.
Collaborate with merchandise on planning and framework brief for each season, in line with budgets and targets set. Build plans to exceed expectations.
Ensure the department is well organised and all administration is kept up to date and accurate.
To manage sustainability initiatives based on target set.
To manage and maintain critical path alongside merch and QA depts
To support and develop ABs and Junior Buyers.
To liaise with, and brief creative teams on content for paper in the form of pagination layouts for each catalogue drop.
To deliver a photography brief for each product launch
Skills & Experience :
You will have at least 5 years experience as a buyer within the womenswear retail market and an in-depth knowledge of product. You will have a sound understanding of the planning and trading complexities associated with multi-channel retailing of own branded merchandise.
You should have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly. Good numerical and analytical skills, to optimise trading performance, and strong negotiating skills to drive margin.
A BA Honours degree would be desirable but not essential.
