About the Role

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading building maintenance provider at a large commercial site in Wigston, Leicestershire (LE18). You'll be responsible for overseeing a technical engineering team, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered effectively across electrical systems within a modern commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities across electrical systems and building services equipment.
  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance when required.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Fault-finding and remedial repairs on lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Support and coordinate a multi-skilled maintenance team to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site documentation.

Requirements of the Senior Electrical Engineer

  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installations / Engineering.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead engineer position within a commercial environment.
