We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a prestigious commercial office building in the heart of Canary Wharf. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-profile corporate environment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services.
- Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, and associated plant.
- Monitor building management systems (BMS) and respond to alarms and faults.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support subcontractors and specialist service providers on site.
- Complete accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Participate in shift handovers and maintain effective communication with the engineering team.
Requirements
- Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Previous experience working within commercial office buildings or critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical plant systems.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
