Salary: Up to £60,000 + HVAP Training + Overtime

Shift Pattern: Continental (Days & Nights) - 07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00

My client is a reputable FM company recruiting a HVAP Shift Leader in their critical division, to work on a prestigious contract in the City of London (Moorgate), managing a corporate building, supporting the day-to-day leadership of the engineering shift team and performing switching tasks and building maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, technically capable engineer/lead ready to step into a leadership role on a high-profile critical site as a Lead in charge of the shift.

The Role

  • Act as the senior engineer on shift, supporting leadership for day-to-day technical operations
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and critical systems
  • Take ownership of mechanical/electrical systems including LV/HV distribution, plant, and associated infrastructure
  • Supervise contractors and ensure all works are completed safely and compliantly
  • Respond to faults, incidents, and alarms within a critical environment
  • Maintain accurate records using site systems and permits to work

About You

  • Hold electrical or mechanical qualifications (Level 3 ideally)
  • Have solid experience working within commercial building services
  • Are confident fault-finding across electrical and wider M&E systems
  • Can lead by example on shift and take responsibility for site operations
  • Are professional, reliable, and safety-focused

High Voltage experience is not essential — HV training will be provided after 3 months.
