I am currently looking to speak to Electrical & Mechanical Shift Engineers for a corporate site based near Borehamwood. The need is for 1 Electrical & 2 Mechanical Shift Engineers to join an 8-person engineering team and continue to provide an efficient service of maintenance across electrical and building services. This company is globally recognised and is one where all engineers will learn and develop their career and skill set. On offer will be specific internal and external training opportunities.
As a Shift Engineer you will be required to work shift patterns of 4 on 4 off, 0600-1800 and 1000-2200. Excellent benefits offered such as AP Training, Private Healthcare, Overtime and more.
Day to Day Duties:
- PPM, reactive maintenance
- Working on Electrical, Mechanical and general building services
- Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner
- Be proactive to identify and report faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve
- Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported escalated as required.
- Maintain informal communications with client staff members related to service levels and issues
- Report service affecting issues to the site management team for formal communication with the client
- Remain flexible with regards to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency
- Be fully aware of relevant Health & Safety and general legislative matters
- All plant will be monitored on a planned maintenance basis regularly as well as dealing with all reactive repairs that arise on a daily basis.
All applicants must come from a strong maintenance background and have the ability to deal with a fast-paced commercial environment.
Skills Required:
- With at least 5 years experience in building services
- Core qualifications are key in this role; the minimum requirement is Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Equivalent in Mechanical
- Must be well presented with good interpersonal skills as this is a client facing role
