We are seeking a reliable and skilled Fabric Engineer to join our facilities team at a busy shopping centre in Liverpool. This is a permanent, full-time role focused on delivering high-quality fabric maintenance and general building works in a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance
- General handyman duties including basic carpentry, painting, patch repairs and minor building works
- Carpentry, tiling, flooring, ceiling and door repairs
- Basic plumbing repairs (e.g. taps, toilets, pipework)
- Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety requirements
- Liaising with site management and contractors when required
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification (fabric/building maintenance or similar)
- Previous experience in a commercial or retail environment preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
Desirable (Not Essential)
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification (Training can be provided for the right candidate)
