We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Services Manager to join a leading facilities management operation in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong FM professional with an M&E engineering background who is looking to take responsibility for the technical delivery, compliance and performance of a high-quality site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day technical facilities management operation across the site.
- Manage and develop engineering teams and specialist contractors.
- Oversee all planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Ensure all M&E services are maintained to a high standard and in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Take responsibility for statutory compliance, health & safety and technical assurance.
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Manage the delivery of PPM, reactive maintenance and remedial works.
- Review technical reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation.
- Manage technical projects, lifecycle works and asset improvement programmes.
- Work closely with the client and wider FM team to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and improved operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and support during audits, inspections and client meetings.
About You
- Strong experience within Technical Facilities Management.
- Solid M&E engineering background.
- Ideally qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
- Previous experience managing engineering teams and technical contractors.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance and planned maintenance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work confidently with clients, contractors and senior management.
- Commercially aware with a strong focus on service delivery.
