We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join a professional facilities team working on a prestigious commercial building in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrician looking for a stable, long-term static position, with an excellent 4 days on / 4 days off night-shift pattern and a salary of £48,000 per year.
The Role
- Responsible for the day-to-day electrical maintenance of a high-quality commercial building, ensuring all systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably throughout the night.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Carrying out PPMs and remedial works
- Maintaining lighting, power and associated electrical systems
- Responding to electrical faults and breakdowns
- Completing maintenance records and documentation
- Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with relevant regulations
- Working closely with the wider facilities and engineering team
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified Electrician
- 18th Edition qualification
- Relevant electrical maintenance experience
- Commercial building experience preferred
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently
- Comfortable working permanent night shifts
