We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to join a prestigious commercial building in Bond Street, central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer with strong mechanical knowledge to join a professional building services maintenance team. The role is highly client-facing, so we are looking for someone who is technically strong, presentable and confident communicating with clients and tenants.

The Role

  • Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Electrical fault finding and general building services maintenance
  • Mechanical maintenance across FCUs, AHUs, pumps, valves and associated plant
  • Carrying out plant room checks and identifying faults
  • Using a CAFM system to manage and update maintenance tasks
  • Working with and learning BMS and lighting control systems
  • Liaising directly with clients and tenants
  • Providing regular updates to the management team
  • Liaising with and managing subcontractors and specialist suppliers
  • Occasionally supporting another engineer across sites in Mayfair and Belgravia
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard

Requirements

  • Recognised electrical qualifications
  • Strong mechanical building services knowledge
  • Experience with AHUs, FCUs, pumps and valves
  • Previous commercial building maintenance experience
  • Strong fault-finding ability
  • Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Confident using CAFM or similar maintenance systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Smart, professional and comfortable in a client-facing environment
  • Willingness to learn new systems including BMS and lighting controls
  • Confident dealing with subcontractors and suppliers

Overtime

There is overtime available during evenings and weekends, providing the opportunity to increase your earnings. Candidates will need to be reasonably flexible, as occasional early starts or later finishes may also be required.
