An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Shift Technician to join a state-of-the-art critical Data Centre operation based in Northolt. Working within a high-performing engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining essential infrastructure across a technically advanced and fast-paced environment.
This position is ideally suited to an electrically qualified engineer with previous experience in critical environments such as data centres, banking, healthcare, or large-scale commercial buildings.
The Role- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across critical electrical systems.
- Operating and maintaining HV/LV infrastructure, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and associated plant equipment.
- Responding to faults, alarms, and emergency breakdowns in a timely and professional manner.
- Supporting site compliance and ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations.
- Assisting specialist subcontractors and ensuring service delivery standards are maintained.
- Accurately completing maintenance reports, logbooks, and operational documentation.
- Fully electrically qualified (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
- Previous experience working within a critical environment is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services and critical infrastructure systems.
- Confident fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work a continental days and nights shift pattern.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance operations.
