The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a commercial site, ensuring all electrical systems and equipment are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a range of building services systems.
- Complete electrical installation, repairs, replacements and minor works.
- Carry out testing and inspection of electrical systems where qualified to do so.
- Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated electrical equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests within agreed timescales.
- Complete electrical isolation and safe working procedures.
- Assist with general building services and basic mechanical/fabric maintenance where required.
- Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
- Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities management team.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and site management when required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current health and safety requirements.
- Support the delivery of a high-quality maintenance service across the site.
Requirements
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
- AM2 and JIB Gold card.
- Previous experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services or a commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault finding.
- Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Good understanding of health and safety and electrical compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
- Full UK driving licence desirable depending on the site.
