Location: Amersham & High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday (08:00-17:00) + 1-in-5 Call-Out

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading building maintenance provider, working across two buildings in Buckinghamshire. You will be part of a skilled engineering team, delivering planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across building plant and services within a healthcare environment. Your week will be split 50/50 between both hospitals, with occasional support required at the other site during the working day.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical building plant and services.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Carry out servicing, fault-finding and remedial repairs on mechanical systems.
  • Assist with commissioning and maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site documentation.

Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a commercial, healthcare or similar building environment.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
  • Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
