We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a prestigious commercial office building in the heart of Canary Wharf. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-profile corporate environment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical building services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, and associated plant.
  • Monitor building management systems (BMS) and respond to alarms and faults.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support subcontractors and specialist service providers on site.
  • Complete accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Participate in shift handovers and maintain effective communication with the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within commercial office buildings or critical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical plant systems.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
