We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong technical background in electrical engineering to join our team in South London. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a key contract, managing a small team while ensuring high standards across service delivery and compliance.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring all technical services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. You will lead a small team of engineers and supervisors, driving performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a small team of technical engineers
- Oversee delivery of mechanical & electrical (M&E) services
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety and statutory regulations
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and overall contract performance
- Support budgeting, cost control, and financial performance
- Drive operational improvements and maintain high service standards
About You
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager / Facilities Manager / Contract Manager
- Strong technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Experience managing teams within a hard services / building services environment
- Good understanding of compliance, H&S, and statutory requirements
- Strong leadership and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage workloads, priorities, and performance effectively
