Data Centre Maintenance Manager
to lead the engineering and maintenance operation within a critical environment in West London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering or FM professional who has
managed maintenance contracts and engineering teams within a critical environment
and understands the importance of uptime, resilience and compliance. The Role
You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance operation, ensuring all planned and reactive engineering activity is delivered safely, efficiently and without compromising the critical operation of the facility. Your responsibilities will include: Managing maintenance delivery across a critical data centre environment. Leading engineers, supervisors and specialist contractors. Managing PPM and reactive maintenance programmes. Overseeing electrical, mechanical, HVAC and associated critical systems. Managing maintenance contracts and subcontractor performance. Ensuring contractual KPIs and SLAs are achieved. Maintaining high standards of statutory and technical compliance. Planning and coordinating planned maintenance and shutdown activities. Managing permits, risk assessments and method statements. Supporting business continuity and operational resilience. Monitoring maintenance performance and identifying areas for improvement. Managing budgets, resources and engineering costs. Working closely with the client and wider FM/engineering management team. About You
Previous experience managing maintenance contracts within a critical environment is essential. You'll ideally come from a data centre or other mission-critical background, although candidates with relevant experience in environments such as
financial services, healthcare, pharmaceutical or other high-availability facilities
will also be considered. We're looking for: Proven experience managing engineering/maintenance contracts. Strong critical-environment experience. A solid M&E / building services engineering background. Experience leading engineers and specialist subcontractors. Strong knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance. Experience managing maintenance within a 24/7 or high-availability environment. Strong understanding of operational risk and resilience. Excellent leadership and communication skills. An engineering qualification is preferred, but significant practical experience managing hard services and critical-environment maintenance will also be considered.
