A leading private healthcare provider is looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to join the Operations team at a busy acute hospital in East London. This role is ideal for a qualified mechanical or electrical engineer with supervisory experience who is confident managing maintenance operations in a critical environment where safety, reliability, and compliance are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to building and equipment faults to minimise disruption.
  • Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and in accordance with internal procedures.

Team Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day supervision of engineering staff.
  • Allocate workloads and monitor performance.
  • Identify training needs and maintain competency standards.
  • Promote a positive, safety-focused working culture.

Essential Requirements

  • Fully Qualified in either mechanical or electrical qualifications.
  • Valid CSCS or ECS card (where applicable).
  • Strong background in building services or facilities maintenance.
