We are looking for an experienced Commercial Plumber to join our growing Facilities Management team, working across commercial properties and client sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive plumbing maintenance, repairs, compliance tasks, and installation work within a fast-paced FM environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and skilled plumber who is confident working independently while delivering high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive plumbing works across commercial buildings
  • Diagnose and repair faults on plumbing and water systems efficiently
  • Install, maintain, and repair pipework, sanitary ware, valves, pumps, TMVs, and associated plumbing equipment
  • Carry out maintenance on hot and cold-water systems, boosted systems, expansion vessels, and drainage systems
  • Conduct Legionella control tasks in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines
  • Complete routine water temperature monitoring and recording
  • Carry out flushing of little-used outlets and dead leg identification
  • Assist with remedial works arising from Legionella risk assessments
  • Monitor and maintain TMVs including inspection, servicing, and temperature testing
  • Support water hygiene compliance across client sites
  • Complete water sampling and assist specialist subcontractors when required
  • Ensure plant rooms and water systems are maintained to statutory compliance standards
  • Respond to emergency plumbing call-outs and system failures
  • Accurately complete job sheets, compliance paperwork, and digital reports
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with company health & safety procedures
  • Liaise professionally with site managers, clients, and subcontractors while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience within commercial plumbing or Facilities Management
  • Good understanding of commercial water systems and plant equipment
  • Knowledge of Legionella compliance and water hygiene regulations
  • Ability to fault-find and resolve plumbing issues independently
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Legionella Awareness or Water Hygiene qualifications
  • Experience working to ACOP L8 guidelines
  • IPAF, PASMA, or other relevant site certifications
  • Basic HVAC or mechanical maintenance knowledge
  • Experience using CAFM systems or digital compliance software
