The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong mechanical and building services background to join a growing team delivering technically complex projects across commercial and corporate real estate environments. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual with hands-on MEP experience, capable of managing projects from initial design through to delivery and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of mechanical and building services projects, ensuring quality, programme, and budget objectives are achieved.
- Manage MEP packages across fit-out, refurbishment, plant replacement, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
- Provide technical oversight on mechanical systems including HVAC, pipework, BMS, and associated building services infrastructure.
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, engineers, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review technical designs, specifications, drawings, and contractor proposals.
- Monitor project risks, health & safety, compliance, and commissioning activities.
- Produce and manage detailed project programmes, cost plans, and progress reports.
- Build strong client relationships and provide clear technical guidance throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the building services or mechanical contracting sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems including HVAC and associated infrastructure.
- Background in mechanical engineering, building services engineering, or construction management.
- Experience delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects through to completion.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or similar.
- Prince2, APM, SMSTS or equivalent qualifications desirable.
