This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a growing critical environment facility in Surrey. Working within a small and supportive engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining uptime across critical infrastructure while benefiting from industry leading training and clear progression pathways. The role operates on a continental days and nights shift pattern, averaging just 14 shifts per month, offering excellent work life balance alongside a highly competitive package.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across critical electrical and building services infrastructure
  • Monitoring critical plant and responding to alarms and incidents
  • Working on UPS systems, generators, LV switchgear, cooling systems, and associated infrastructure
  • Completing routine inspections, plant checks, and operational monitoring
  • Supporting reactive maintenance and first line fault diagnosis
  • Maintaining accurate shift logs, reports, and handovers
  • Supporting specialist contractors during maintenance activities
  • Operating within Permit to Work and safe isolation procedures
  • Supporting the site's LVAP and HVAP authorisation programme
  • Ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance

What We're Looking For

  • Electrical engineering background
  • Experience within a critical environment such as Data Centres, Banking, Hospitals, Pharmaceutical, or similar high uptime facilities
  • Strong understanding of electrical building services infrastructure
  • Experience working within a permit to work environment
  • Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Professional attitude and willingness to develop technically
