We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Engineer to join our team, working on a day shift basis at a multi-building site in Farnborough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems within a critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules and industry standards
- Carry out reactive maintenance and fault finding on:
- Split air conditioning systems
- VRV/VRF systems
- Chillers
- Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- Diagnose faults and ensure prompt, effective repairs
- Identify and report defects, including providing parts lists and repair timescales
- Ensure all plant and equipment remain in safe, serviceable condition
- Maintain accurate records, including:
- PPM and reactive work reports
- Refrigerant usage logs
- F-Gas registers
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, including safe handling of refrigerants
- Supervise subcontractors on site when required
- Support and assist with the training and development of onsite staff
- Work closely with site teams and client representatives to maintain high service standards
Requirements
- F-Gas qualification (essential)
- Formal training in HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical or electrical engineering
- Proven experience maintaining HVAC systems in a commercial or critical environment
- Basic knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional out-of-hours work if required
- Physically fit and able to
