Engineering Supervisor
Location: South East London
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am5pm (occasional flexibility required)
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead a small team of engineers at a prestigious commercial site in South East London. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day operations in a well-maintained, client-facing environment.
The Role
As Engineering Supervisor, you will manage a team of four engineers, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance across the site is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You\’ll be hands-on, technically capable, and confident overseeing building services systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support a team of 4 multi-skilled engineers

Oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks across the site

Provide hands-on support with electrical/mechanical systems as needed

Ensure compliance with all statutory and company health & safety policies

Conduct routine audits, risk assessments, and quality checks

Act as first point of contact for technical queries and escalations

Liaise with site clients, subcontractors, and senior management

Maintain accurate records using CAFM and ensure timely reporting

Support training and development of team members
About You
-
Minimum of 5 years experience in building services, with supervisory experience

Recognised qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

Strong knowledge of M&E systems, particularly HVAC, BMS, and electrical infrastructure

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Experience using CAFM software and digital maintenance platforms

IOSH, SSSTS, or equivalent H&S qualification (preferred but not essential)
