We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee technical operations within a prestigious commercial building in Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong leader with either an electrical or mechanical background to take ownership of a high-profile site, ensuring the smooth delivery of all engineering services while leading a team of skilled engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of on-site engineers
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Ensure all building systems are operating efficiently and safely
- Act as the technical authority on site for electrical or mechanical systems
- Manage compliance, health & safety, and statutory regulations
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain high service standards
- Support and drive continuous improvement across engineering operations
Requirements
- Strong technical background in either electrical or mechanical engineering
- Previous experience managing engineering teams within commercial buildings
- Solid understanding of building systems (HVAC, BMS, electrical distribution, etc.)
- Experience as an Authorised Person (AP) or previously held AP status (highly desirable)
- Proven leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a client-facing environment
