We are seeking an experienced Engineering Maintenance Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of a commercial property portfolio across Kent, covering Dartford, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Ashford, and Folkestone. This is a hands-on management role, ideal for a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering high standards across multiple sites.

Location: Kent (covering Dartford, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Ashford & Folkestone)

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per year + Travel / Car Allowance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team across the commercial portfolio.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all sites operate safely and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance and manage service providers effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on maintenance, costs, and performance.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities or property maintenance management, preferably within a commercial portfolio.
  • Strong technical knowledge across building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence for travel between sites.
