We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Manager to join our team on a prestigious single commercial site in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong electrical professional with full HV/LV authorisation experience to take ownership of electrical facilities management operations within a critical commercial environment.

The Role

You will hold full responsibility for the safe operation, maintenance, and compliance of all electrical systems across the site. Acting as the duty holder for HV/LV systems, you will ensure all works are carried out in accordance with statutory regulations and internal procedures. This is a site-based role with no travel between contracts, focused on maintaining plant rooms and critical infrastructure to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Authorising Engineer for HV/LV systems
  • Oversee all electrical FM operations across the site
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safe systems of work
  • Manage and review switching schedules, RAMS, and PTW systems
  • Supervise and support electrical engineers and subcontractors
  • Take ownership of plant rooms, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and associated infrastructure
  • Provide technical leadership and act as escalation point for electrical issues
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements

Requirements

  • HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) status
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
  • Strong electrical background (apprenticeship trained preferred)
  • Proven experience within plant rooms and critical infrastructure environments
  • Experience in a commercial facilities management setting
  • Solid understanding of electrical compliance, safety regulations, and permit systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
