Make a difference in a critical environment. We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Facilities Manager to support the delivery of maintenance and facilities services within a secure site. This role is key to ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the facility. You will work closely with operational teams, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain high standards and keep essential services running smoothly.
Key responsibilities:- Plan and allocate daily maintenance activities in line with operational priorities
- Monitor performance, ensuring work is completed to required standards, on time and safely
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance via CAFM systems in line with SFG20 guidelines
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Lead and support a team of engineers and operatives
- Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to agreed standards and processes
- Undertake Approved Person responsibilities where qualified
- Provide support and cover for senior management when required
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- Electrical qualification (e.g. 17th/18th Edition, JIB) or relevant HVAC/Gas or Fire & Security certifications
- Experience working with HVAC systems and BMS (Trend or Honeywell preferred)
- Legionella awareness or certification
- Experience supervising teams in a facilities management or maintenance environment
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to diagnose faults across building systems
- Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this position
- Occupational Health clearance will be undertaken
