We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities management team, covering a portfolio of commercial properties across the South East of England. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and minor installation works, ensuring clients receive a high-quality and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites.
- Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems and associated building services equipment.
- Perform electrical testing, inspection, and certification in accordance with current regulations.
- Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Complete minor electrical installation and project works as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Accurately complete job reports and update CAFM systems using mobile devices.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota when required.
Requirements
- Recognised Electrical Qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Experience within facilities management, building services, or commercial maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload effectively.
Desirable
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Experience working in retail, commercial, healthcare, or public sector environments.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls and general building services systems.
